My career in direct mail and print started a fair while ago as a sales and marketing assistant – since then I have worked with some wonderful people who have encouraged my progress and given me a platform to grow. I enjoy the urgency and speed of financial communications projects and like working in the midst of the action.
What do I bring? Usually biscuits and doughnuts! When I am not ‘interfering’ in all things to make sure we’re being the best we can be.
Outside of work some would say I’m obsessed (I would say I’m dedicated) to Crossfit. My long suffering family put up with me talking about Crossfit on the rare days I’m not doing it! I have a passionate collection of trainers that Michael Jordan would be jealous of!
I write and run Data/Imposition applications to produce print-ready Postscript and PDFs.
I joined KPM in 2012 as a member of a team that deals with fast turn around digital print jobs. I design and write the internal data applications and deal with many of the short/long term detailed project work.
My wife and I have two West Highland terriers, they both take up a lot of our time. We enjoy taking them for long country walks. Going out and socialising is a big part of our lives, hosting many a dinner/garden party. Golf, poker, pool, snooker are all interests of mine, my poker league position would say that I am not very good though. I also play for the local pool league.
I have been a part of the KPM team for quite some time now and from my experience I can guarantee that there is no job that the production team can’t do. I keep my team very organised and we love to take on new challenges - I am great at multitasking, so last minute jobs are never a problem. Outside of the workplace I like to experiment in the kitchen, I’m always cooking up some tasty dishes. I also really like to travel- so if I’m nowhere to be found in the kitchen, I’m probably spending my free time in some beautiful location.
Client Service Executive
My role includes looking after key accounts on a day to day basis, maintaining and ordering stock/suppliers and booking and maintaining all the postal suppliers. I'm well organised, which helps my team when they have forgotten something! I am also good at solving queries and advising on any postal problems that may arise. Outside of work I enjoy going to the gym, except on weekends when I go out with friends most Fridays and Saturdays – recovering on Sundays!
Senior Account Manager
I am responsible for all components and operational services to deliver a successful campaign and positive experience for our clients.
I bring lots of experience to KPM from a variety of sectors within the print and mailing industry. I would like to think that I also bring a calm and positive can-do attitude! I'm able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and enjoy tackling the variety of challenges each day brings.
I most enjoy spending time with my 2 daughters, which usually involves some degree of shopping. When possible I frequent the gym for a swim, which I convince myself counter-balances the evenings out enjoying a glass of wine!
I am responsible for managing the DP department operations and maintaining onsite IT infrastructure.
I bring a sense of 'can-do attitude' to kpm. The kind of work that we do is diverse and challenging, no two days are the same. 'No job is too big, no job is too small... we will always get it through'.
I am a geek in and out of work, always near a computer or game console. Some would say I am obsessed with Star Wars, mix it with Lego and I'm out of control! I enjoy most racquet sports, playing for clubs in my spare time.
Nigel Copp has been in commercial print and direct mail for over 30 years and has worked on behalf of major brands and agencies to deliver campaigns ranging from financial, commercial and the charities sector. Frustrated with the direction of others, Nigel set up kpm in 2001 to bring his core strengths to a new client base, these being knowledge, innovation, great customer service, honesty and good old fashioned hard graft.
Going beyond traditional mail services, kpm works closely with clients to promote and develop new ways to engage and strengthen brand loyalty.
Nigel has also been involved in publishing for the past 4 years, purchasing and running a specialist publishing business focusing on the Facilities Management sector. This expanded his and kpm’s knowledge incorporating, editorial, design & social media development with over 13,000 twitter followers!
Editor of FMJ magazine
I bring years of experience in covering the facilities management and workplace sectors to kpm, an interest in the people and places that make work more interesting and an enthusiasm for coming up with ideas and stories that help bring this to life.
Ironically, given that I write about offices I work primarily from home, but I still enjoy virtual watercooler moments with colleagues Warren and Danny.
Director of all things publishing
Design of magazines, websites, email campaigns, newsletters and pretty much everything inbetween.
I like to play golf at the weekends.
I help the FMJ Team on a daily basis and act as the first point of contact for customers with regards to queries and subscription requests.
The Account Manager is the bridge between the client and the company so my role is to make sure that that bridge is strong and stable. Apart from great admin, organisation and people skills, I am pleased to hear that I also bring energy and vitality to the office!
Being a queen of questions (according to my colleagues) and a big chocolate fan, there is no surprise that my two favourite quotes are: “People who think they know everything, actually know nothing” and “Chocolate doesn’t ask silly questions, chocolate understands”.
Assistant Editor FMJ & CHT
I am responsible for the day-to-day running of both the Facilities Management Journal (FMJ) and Cleaning Hygiene Today (CHT) websites. Keeping the visitors to our sites up-to-date with relevant industry news and features.
I assist with the FMJ magazine in terms of collating content, sourcing imagery and casting my beady eyes over copy before it goes to print – oh and keeping the FMJ team hydrated with copious amounts of tea and coffee.
Outside of work, apart from spending time with my amazing family, I have just discovered a love for running. Lets hope it lasts!
Sales Manager on The Facilities Management Journal
I handle advertising, business development and events. My role includes managing sales across our publications, websites and e-newsletters - generating new leads and looking after the requirements of our existing clients. As part of small, but very hardworking team at kpm media, I have had a hand in the further development of the FMJ brand, and I am personally very proud of what we have achieved as a team over the past few of years – helping to make FMJ the most respected publication in its sector.
I also organise events on behalf of FMJ – bringing together facilities professionals across the UK for networking evenings with interesting speakers at fantastic venues, giving all who attend the opportunity to extend their professional network. I am a keen networker, and enjoy meeting new people and attending events relevant to the subjects covered in our magazines.
My hobbies include playing golf (or at least trying to) and coaching my son's Sunday league football team.
