KPM Group celebrates 20 years by looking to the future

PRESS RELEASE October 2021

Communications and mail specialist KPM Group are celebrating their 20-year anniversary this September.

The company was founded by Nigel Copp in 2001. It now operates from a 22,000 sq ft factory in Sevenoaks, Kent and employs 42 people.

Copp is the majority shareholder and founder of KPM. Reflecting on the anniversary, he says he set up KPM in 2001 “After feeling frustrated with the direction that other DM companies were taking. I wanted to bring knowledge, innovation, and great customer service to a new client base. This is something that we feel passionate about and underlines everything we do. I’m proud of the company we’ve become.”

KPM, which incorporates TMB Mailing and KPM Media, are known for their work across multiple industries including the financial services, local government, charities, arts & leisure and education sectors.

Expansion

After 20 successful years, KPM has had a busy 12 months. In the middle of the pandemic, they acquired fellow Kent-based mailing house and digital printer TMB Mailing, completing the deal in October 2020. The TMB team are integrated within KPM, while KPM moved to TMB’s Sevenoaks premises in November.

Copp commented, “It’s long been our intention to expand and growth through acquisition is a key strategy in our 5-year plan. Adding TMB Mailing to the group is a great fit and has enabled us to expand our current service offering and gain greater stability in uncertain times.”

Investment

In July, KPM invested in new Xerox presses at their Sevenoaks base, expanding colour digital and mono laser print personalisation capabilities with the latest Xerox technology.

Managing Director Marian Lively stated, “The installation of the new Xerox Versant 4100 and Primelink B9136 machines increases our strong print capacity even further.” She added, “KPM will continue with an ambitious investment programme in print and mailing technology. This will ensure we meet our customers’ needs today, tomorrow, and where needed in the future.”

Reflecting on the anniversary, Lively says that a key part of KPM’s success is their team; “Our people are our biggest asset. We genuinely enjoy what we do, and this is reflected in our work. We’ve built an incredible, dedicated team that have decades of experience. I have absolute faith in our ability to deliver a premium product and service.”

Looking forward

Added to this is the strong partnerships they have built with many long-standing clients. Lively says: “I’d like to thank everyone who has supported us so far and I look forward to the new and exciting opportunities that the next 20 years will bring.”

With new business acquisitions and further investments planned, plus a brand-new website, and increased print, mail, and e-commerce fulfilment capabilities KPM is looking to the future – watch this space!
